Cheryl M. Davis
The Village of Reading is delighted to announce the appointment of Cheryl Davis to it's Board of Directors. Ms. Davis has been employed at Reading School District for 20 years. She serves as a Special Education teacher and is presently an Assistant Principal at Reading Senior High School. Ms. Davis is a Doctoral Candidate at Alvernia University in Leadership. She has a passion for students and ascribes to the philosophy that it takes a village to raise a child. We would like to thank Ms. Davis for her leadership, dedication, and commitment to our community and youth.

Joseph S. Andrieux, M.Ed, M.A.Ed
Joseph S. Andrieux brings a dynamic blend of education, technology, and community engagement to his role as the new Executive Director of The Village of Reading. With a Bachelor's Degree in Business Finance & Digital Media Communications from Albright College and several Master's degrees in Education, Mathematics, Software/Network Engineering, and Game Development & Design, Joseph's academic background reflects his diverse interests and commitment to lifelong learning.
For nearly 17 years, Joseph has served as a cornerstone of innovation at Reading Senior High School, where his passion for education and technology has transformed countless lives. As a Computer Science Teacher, he has dedicated himself to providing students with access to the latest technologies in software and computer languages. His tireless efforts have been recognized through numerous certifications in various technological industries, positioning him as a leader in his field.
Joseph's vision extends beyond the classroom. He believes deeply in the power of education and community service to uplift and empower individuals from all walks of life. With a fervent dedication to providing every student with the opportunity to succeed, Joseph champions initiatives aimed at breaking down barriers and opening doors to new possibilities.
Under Joseph's leadership, The Village of Reading is poised for unprecedented growth and impact. Through innovative programs such as Teen Podcast, Esports with the Olivettes Boys and Girls Club / PAL, STEM Summer Camp, CompTIA Industry Tech Certification courses, and Group Peer Mediation Training, Joseph is bridging the gap between technology and community service, empowering youth to realize their full potential.
Looking ahead, Joseph is committed to forging strong partnerships with community stakeholders to expand opportunities for the youth of Reading and Berks County. With upcoming initiatives such as Best Buy Education (National) and a host of spring and summer programs, The Village of Reading is on track to become a beacon of hope and opportunity for generations to come.
Joseph's guiding philosophy is simple yet profound: "I believe every child, every adult, has a chance to live their dreams. They need that opportunity to access what is needed to walk up the positive path of being remembered." With his leadership, The Village of Reading is not just a place but a promise—a promise of hope, opportunity, and transformation for all who call it home.

Jonathan Scaccia, PhD
Jonathan Scaccia, PhD, is founder of the community-based research and evaluation firm, The Dawn Chorus Group, and the AI-research software, PubTrawlr. He is a trained clinical-community psychologist with over 20+ years of working with community coalitions across the United States.

Ruben Rodriguez, Sr.
Ruben Rodriguez, Sr. Is a proud Alumni of the Reading School District representing the class of 2006. Mr. Rodriguez has been employed for the past 4 years and sworn in by Berks County Courts as a Police Officer for the Reading School District. He has an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice from Berks Technical Institute and has obtained his Act 120 in 2016 from the Reading Police Academy to obtain his Municipal Police Officer Certification. Reading Police Academy operates as a structured paramilitary school and the course is both academically and physically challenging.
Mr. Rodriguez has prior experience in the police force with Muhlenberg Police Department and Harrisburg Police Department. While serving as a Reading School District Police Officer you may see Mr. Rodriguez serving at the sidelines as assistant coach for the Reading High’s Basketball team for the past 4 years where he also serves as a mentor.
As a proud Marvel fan Mr. Rodriguez Instills a lot of the core values within the movies in his everyday life. He strives to make a difference within the schools and within the community with passion, pride, and commitment. It’s with great pride and honor he takes on being a board member of the Village not only educating others on his police force background but instilling knowledge.

Wynton Butler
Wynton Butler is currently in his 30th year with the Reading School District serving as Director of Social Services. In this role, Butler serves as hearing officer for the administrative suspensions and supervises the Home School Visitors. Butler earned a Bachelors of Public Administration from Kutztown University as well as a teaching certification and master’s degree in Urban Education from Alvernia University.
While in the military, Butler served twenty-one years in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard and is a veteran of the Persian Gulf War having retired as a Major (promotable).
Wynton is a proud member of the Reading Branch NAACP and has served as its historian for the past two years. Butler is married to Magisterial District Judge Tonya Butler and has two sons Wynton II and Wesely.

Katrese Bradley
Katrese Bradley is a Licensed Social Worker in Pennsylvania who obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Alvernia University in December 2013 and Master’s Degree in Social Work at Kutztown University in May 2019.
A Reading native, Katrese was born and raised in the city she loves. For the past three years she has had the pleasure of being a school social worker within the Reading School District working with high school students to help them achieve academic success. Building relationships with her students is something she looks forward to. In addition to school social work, Katrese has worked with various populations within the social work field including: Child Welfare, Mental Health, Protective Services for Older Adults, and Hospice.

Pamela S. Gockley
In 1996, Pamela S. Gockley co-founded a media technology company start-up. She serves as CEO and Director of Media Technology. After the Parkland School shooting, she could no longer stand by. So, in 2018, she started a non-profit called The Camel Project. Its mission is to end the violence that often begins and ends with the aggressive learned behavior of Bullying.
She is a national speaker, has authored four books, and has been an entrepreneur for 30 years. In addition, she is a leading researcher of Reputation Intelligence. She became a certified practitioner of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Counseling and certified in Bullying Prevention by the U.S. Department of Health CDC.

Shani Robinson
Meet Shani Robinson, a native of Reading, PA. Shani earned her bachelor’s degree from Millersville University and has accumulated over a decade of experience in the occupational safety and environmental health industry.
Proud member of Delta Sigma Theta sorority, Shani is deeply involved in community service. Her true passion lies in empowering youth. Whether through mentoring students or helping individuals achieve their aspirations, Shani is dedicated to fostering positive change within her community.
